Equine Specialist
Stephanie is an Equine Specialist certified in Equine Facilitated Learning. Her work, what she refers to as ‘Mindful Horsemanship’, involves partnering a client with horses to facilitate personal change through metaphorical learning. Stephanie has a remarkable ability to create a safe space where the client has the opportunity to explore their unique situation for themselves and ultimately to help them shift their perspectives into healthier, more effective patterns. She also often works alongside an LPC in Equine Assisted Counseling, a process that involves therapeutic change and growth with the support of horses.
Animal Assisted Therapy
Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) recognizes the potential for an unique bond between animals and humans, and capitalizes on that to assist the therapeutic process across a variety of professions. You may see animals helping nurses, speech therapists or mental health providers, just to name a few.
