LCSW Supervisor Associates

Jessica Barber
LCSW-S

I have a great passion for being an LCSW and having the honor to make a positive impact on the future of Social Work through LCSW supervision.

My overall mission for supervision is to facilitate and assist LMSW’s in developing their professional and personal skills to become the best clinicians they can be. I provide a safe and enriching environment to foster a working supervisee-supervisor relationship that promotes learning, growth and development.

With each supervisee, I create a working alliance to develop specific short-term and long-term goals while tailoring each individual’s supervision to meet their professional needs. A general outline of supervision topics and areas that will be covered during supervision include:

·        Crisis management
·        Ethics and cultural competency
·        Counseling theories and practices
·        Support; empowerment, confidante, stress and burnout management, self-care
·        Assessment and evaluations
·        Diagnoses (DMS-5)
·        Case reviews with frequent feedback and exploration into supervisees current practices; challenge and stimulate new ideas and develop new skills.
·        Professional development
·        Logistics of practice (note taking, how insurance impacts different practice settings…)
·        Self-exploration focusing on how this impacts clinical practices; how we affect and are affected by clients
·        Documentation, licenses requirements, legal

Supervision Includes

  1. Four Hours a month of supervision

  2. Access to Supervision sessions both Online and at The Hope Place

  3. Online Portal Access to your documents through Simple Practice

  4. Supervision in your area of interest
