No. We believe that accepting insurance could create insurance based treatment plans and less confidentiality for our clients. Dr. Sarah Schewitz has written a great article called The Real Reasons (That Nobody Tells You) About Why Therapists Don’t Accept Insurance, and we’ve posted our own blog to explain the options we have and why we do things that way.
Why The Hope Place doesn’t Accept Insurance
We understand that therapy can be expensive, we also offer a superbill that can be used with your insurance company to claim out of network benefits that might be owed to you.
We even have a student program that costs $40 per session. If we’re not a good fit for you, we’ll help you find someone who is.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy is more succinct and procedural than EMDR, although it uses the same eye movements. There is no need for the client to describe their trauma to the therapist, unless the client finds it useful.
Clinically significant improvement typically happens between 1 and 5 sessions. Each session is a stand-alone intervention. No homework required by client.
