Service to others
We are partners with Pine Trees Counseling Center 501c3. They are a non profit offering mental health services to veterans, first responders, and their families. We will hold fundraisers, like Goat Yoga periodically to help support their mission. YOU CAN HELP TOO!
How we help
Online or in-person, SFBT is a therapy approach that acknowledges the problem, but is also curious about where you’re like to be instead of where you currently are. It’s like speaking a different language in order to facilitate therapy.
Accelerated resolution therapy
Accelerated Resolution Therapy is used with trauma, pain management, depression, anxiety, phobias to specifically avoid retraumatizing the client as they use eye movements to process through an event to detach the negative emotions from the problem.
Equine therapy
Equine Assisted Counseling (EAC) is an treatment method that uses the connection between people and horses to enhance emotional healing. (It’s a brain thing). Different forms of equine therapy may be used depending on client needs.
Outdoor therapy
In person, we use the 10 acres available to us to walk and use talk therapy at the same time. We recommend close toed shoes and pants!
Small animal assisted therapy
In-person, we continue to use our therapy modalities, but we use a small animal to assist the therapy. We have goats available for the session for an additional fee. Small Animal Therapy with a Nigerian Dwarf Goat or other small animal including dogs.
Group therapy
Group Therapy is designed in such a way that the cost of therapy is much less than a regular session and uses the power of connection to rescript your future self.
We provide Online Therapy to people residing in Texas. We use the software Simple Practice in order to keep our conversations HIPPA compliant and completely confidential! This is great for people working through depression and isolation that don’t have the energy to leave the house, or for people who may be at risk for severe COVID. You can schedule with any of our therapists online.
Rachel Nauss, LCSW is our Registered Play Therapist who uses play therapy in her work with children. This may include an animal or two as well!
Equine facilitated learning
Equine Facilitated Learning is a practice of learning life skills such as boundaries and social skills facilitated by an equine specialist that is available with or without the addition of psychotherapy at The Hope Place.
Rates vary by therapist. See Services for more information.
Check your insurance.
We are a cash pay facility, but can provide a superbill after your sessions so that you can file for any out-of-network benefits that may be owed to you through your insurance company.
