VOTE HERE! Do you want an ADHD Coaching Program?

As the school year picks back up, I’m wondering 2 things…

1) How are you adults with ADHD dealing with all the extra COVID stress and parenting?
2) How are you parents of ADHD kiddos handling back to school?

I worry about you guys. Well, I mostly worry about everyone, but that’s not the point.

At The Hope Place, we’re beginning to pick back up the availability of group therapy. One is for Adults struggling through COVID Chaos, and the other is not really therapy, it’s more of a therapist networking/CEU lunch event.

BUT… WHAT ABOUT ADHD???

We haven’t started one yet for a couple of reasons. I’m not sure if there’s a demand for ADHD Coaching in Mansfield, TX. I certainly haven’t found much on the googles for this area. There are some ADHD therapists, us included, but “coaching” doesn’t seem to be a big option in Tarrant county.

As of recently, there’s been a bunch of research that indicates ADHD coaching could be really helpful and beneficial to not only Adults with ADHD, but also their family members! What’s the difference between ADHD Coaching and Therapy? Well…

Coaching = Tips & Tricks with a Sprinkle of Accountability
Therapy = Harnessing the Power of Neurogenesis guided by Ethics and Licensing
(this is a gross oversimplification - don’t get mad at me)

Sometimes people don’t need or want to go to therapy, but could still benefit from meeting with others to go over their goals and learn some tips & tricks on how to handle their ADHD household. Body Doubling is also a thing that is very helpful for ADHD adults. This is when ADHD adults come together with work they need to complete, but can’t seem to get started. Having another person in the room while they work creates enough dopamine effect to help them stick to the work they needed to complete. Kind of like a Study Hall.

I’d love to offer something weekly for adults with ADHD and adults who have family members with ADHD that helps the community. Maybe even a one hour a week ADHD Study Hall.
