Mental Health Treatment for everyone in the family.
Our goal is to meet you where you are and adjust our treatments based on your need, previous experiences, and goals.
We want to do more of what works and less of what doesn’t.
-
SFBT is a way to treat our clients’ mental health struggles by changing the language from problem focused to solution focused during our talk therapy sessions.
We are curious about the moments where the problem isn’t as much of a problem, and what you may be able to do differently to pursue peace and joy.
We also use Solution Focused Play Therapy for the kiddos!
-
ART is an evidence-based treatment using eye movements to process negative emotions out of your body when associated with an event. ART is similar to EMDR in that it uses bi lateral stimulation (eye movements), but it is also different because ART uses a specific procedural technique.
Using this procedure leads to less emotional flooding and has shown to reduce symptoms in 1 to 5 sessions.
-
We offer Play Therapy by a Registered Play Therapist using solution focused language and techniques that help your child learn from their behaviors, thoughts, and emotions.
We want to help them develop skills like emotional regulation and self-control by noticing the times when they’re already making good decisions.
-
EAC includes a therapist, an equine specialist, and the horses on site at The Hope Place. EAC is great for those that need a breakthrough in their mental health journey.
This is not riding the horses; instead they are free to join in the pasture with you or not. The connection and communication provided by the horses helps you see your problems through a different perspective.
-
This is not psychotherapy; instead, it is a practice of developing professional or personal skills taught by the horses. You are led through your training by our equine specialist as she and the horses teach life skills. More information can be found here.
-
We also provide various CEUs, workshops, classes, and downloadable resources for people looking for more information on specific mental health topics. To purchase a ticket to an event or to see what is available for download - go to our store.

Insurance
We do not take insurance at this time. We believe that accepting insurance could create insurance based treatment plans and less confidentiality for our clients.
Dr. Sarah Schewitz has written a great article called The Real Reasons (That Nobody Tells You) About Why Therapists Don’t Accept Insurance, that clearly explains why your therapist may not take insurance.
We do offer a superbill that can be used with your insurance company to claim out of network benefits that might be owed to you.
